Our baby is going to be one year old at the end of the month. Big sigh. We're planning on throwing him a small, simple party. I think casual brunch on a Sunday with a few friends and family would be ideal. I really like Kristina's easy, breezy style, which she applied to her son's 1st birthday lunch party. Simple and mostly for adults. And she's a designer, but the party wasn't over-designed, ya know what I mean?
And I love her invitation concept. Very sweet. I borrowed the "He'd love to share his cake with you" and applied it to a photo I took of the Delish while he was cruising in front of the oven. All done in Picnik.

SIGH. ONE. Already! How do you feel??
Rubies: It's totally bittersweet. I'm at once happy that he's growing so healthy and yet I don't want him to stop being a baby! Just have to savor every moment, ya know?
Very cute invite - adorable photo!
Wow - time sure does fly! I started to follow your blog right before S. was born. So much has happened for you in the last year. You should be proud and pleased :)
I didn't know his name was Simon! How funny...that's what our future baby boy will be named. :)
Sooo cute!!
Hey! Who stole our lives? He can't be one already! What a grown up little guy he's getting to be. Good luck with the party!
Lily turns two on Thanksgiving day so give her a little toast at your holiday table, I so wish it was a day off here!
Incredible. It seemed like not too long ago we just learned that you were pregnant!
Lovely invite, and that smile on his face just melts my heart. Love!
Yes, very bittersweet. Fastest year in my life to date. Just sent out the invites to P's party too. Going the same route too...simple!
BTW, love the invitation! You work magic with Picnik!
So cute! Can't wait to see the photos! Btw, at a conference's social/happy hour thing (I went for my husband) I met someone you know-small world!
