So this weekend, as Congress was working hard (and still is as I write this) to come to some sort of resolution for the debt ceiling, we went to G's parents' to go swimming. They were away, so we had the pool all to ourselves.
It was my first time in a bathing suit since last summer, before Delicious was born. I still need to lose about 10 pounds. The body changes after having a baby. It shifts and the weight is distributed in weird ways. It's all in the middle, upper arms and thighs now. Thank goodness one pieces and tankinis are in. I got this mix and match job from Target. I think it was under $25 for both.

We didn't plan on putting Delicious in the water, as he didn't have swim trunks/diapers. But it just so happened that after drinking his bottle poolside, he did a big poo-poo. After we cleaned him up, G suggested we just dip him in the pool for good measure. Boo-boo's first pool experience!
A little unsure at first
There was a shady corner, so I handed him to G, sans clothes, save for a hat. As you can see, Delicious was a bit unsure, but soon got used to it. He loved it!

I'm STILL all about tankinis - 15 months later. I've been looking at Target, but didn't see anything as cute. S is adorable and it looks like he'll be quite the water baby. What a fun milestone!

I feel you on the after baby weight. I got into a tankini as well last months (4 months after baby) and I almost cried coz I used to live in my bikinis all summer long. I'm still working hard to get back to the pre-baby body.
