We had a nice time catching up. For some reason Delicious started crying when he was being held by our friends. I think he's getting a bit of stranger anxiety. Funny thing, crying is contagious. Once he started, so did Babygirl S! I somehow remember doing the same thing as a child. Sympathy crying, maybe? It was also fun to see the dads and their strollers.

On Sunday we drove out to the country to an AWESOME brocante (vintage/antique/flea) market called the Old Luckett's Store. They were having their annual Spring Market on the grounds of the shop and it was FANTASTIC. If you've read my wedding blog, you know I love this kind of stuff. We found some GREAT things, namely, industrial galvanized steel trays (great for serving outdoors or for holding stuff in the kitchen), a tin watering can, and an INCREDIBLE farm table made of salvaged wood. It was an absolute steal at $495. It's 10 feet long, perfectly and authentically distressed (i.e. weathered and old) and will be perfect for everyday family dining (read: child proof).
Market scenes
Beautiful vintage typewriter
Lovely, redesigned chest of drawers. Love the chevron stripes and punchy yellow knobs
G, making the table purchase
Our prized find: A 10' long farm table for the kitchen. The base is circa 1940s and the top is 12" wide vintage pine plank, probably flooring
Hot, fresh potato chips; hot, not-so-fresh Mr. Delicious (it was a very warm day)
It was a nice weekend and so much fun!

LOVE the table you found. It's going to look great your kitchen.
I want to bite Delicious' chubby little feet. He's so adorable. Your weekend sounded lovely! How are you, friend?
It was so much fun! Let's not let another three months go by!
Ok, that table is stunning. So are the ferns on top of it...the light just hits them all right.
Um, so I just bought the same stroller as Mr. D! Please tell me you love it! I keep pushing ours around the backyard since J won't let me take it out outside without an actual kid in it...killjoy!
What an awesome market! I want those chevron painted drawers and I love your table. Great find!
Catherine: Thank you! BTW, know that chest reminded me of you! Yellow and grey and super stylin'!
Rubies: Hey, mama!!!! How are you???? Delicious is super chubby! EEEp!
Jen: It was so nice seeing you guys!
Elyssa: You had mentioned your friend and her $150 Uppababy. Was it UppaBaby? So we went with the Vista, and LOOOOOOOVE it! It's high up, the handle adjusts (as you mentioned) and is really sturdy. The image of you pushing the stroller around, preggers, is SO INCREDIBLY SWEET. Seriously! How you feeling, mama??? What do you like about the stroller?
Ali: As an interior design gal, I bet you would LOVE Lucketts!!!!
$495?!?! I'm dying. I got excited for finding a non-authentic (but looks authentic) for $1k - and that felt like a steal! But $495!? I'm ridiculously excited for you (mixed with jealousy!) - congrats on the great find!
PS - Husband LOVES the diaper bag - thanks for the recommendation. I'll stay on the opposite coast if I continue to copy you ;)
Great post! I can't believe you found that table either --- always such a good feeling to stumble upon something like that. Please send pics when you have it in your new home so we can see what it looks like in all its glory! (beautiful photography by the way!)
You had me at brocante. I refer to such escapades as 'searching for treasure'!
Love love love the table. See what I mean by awesome sense of style, you two?
And Delicious is chubbalicious. (You may also like to know: Rob adds that "Mr Delicious" sounds like "a very appropriate character in the Creature Gorgeous 'show'")
@ Creature:
Yep! She had the G-luxe style Uppa I think. Obvs since the Vista is no where near $150! I think so far it's great. But doing circles in our in-town backyard isn't exactly doing the sucker justice. Things are great over here...not good about blogging about the bump. I get kinda self-aware and then start rambling. Shocking, I know. So glad to know another Momma that loves the Vista.
If you love Lucketts, then yes, we do have a lot of in common! I heart your blog, too - love finding new DC/burb bloggers!
Thanks for posting my chevron dresser! So glad you liked it! If anyone wants to see more of my stuff check out my website www.vintagebeforebeauty.com
